Chocks

If you are going to store your boat upright on deck or on a hard top, you will need a set of chocks to support the boat in that orientation. These chocks are strong and durable, yet provide an affordable answer to the problem compared to commercially available chocks. They are designed to be made from .75" (3/4 inch) King Starboard cut on a CNC router. If you are unsure where to get these cut, online websites like "Send Cut Send" or "Xeometry" are good resources and you would choose High Density PolyEthylene, or "HDPE" material for all the components.

Mounting them to your deck might feel like a challenge at first glance, but the secret is to use 1/4" thick 2x2 Anodized Aluminum Angle Iron and sandwich the plastic between the pieces of aluminum.

If you prefer aluminum chocks because you have an aluminum boat, an experienced aluminum fabricator can use these same patterns to fabricate you a set, just provide the drawings and patterns to your fabricator.
